The School of Art and Archaeology of Zhejiang University will host the 2027 Global Museology Doctoral Forum in May 2027. The Forum aims to provide a high-level international platform for academic exchange, promote mutual learning between different civilisations, and foster intergenerational dialogue among scholars. It welcomes postgraduate researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds whose research engages with museums and museology.
The Forum is a major academic event for the International Alliance of Teaching Museology in University (IATMU) in 2027. Experts and scholars from the leadership of International Council of Museums (ICOM) and IATMU member institutions will join the forum for academic exchange. By fostering cross-cultural and intergenerational communication, the Forum aims to support knowledge sharing, academic mentorship, and the development of an international network of emerging scholars in museum and museological research.
